Merlin,
No - oddly never had a problem getting proposed and seconded-but then I don't live in suburbia in an ''executive'' house with a mondeo outside.
But does your missus have a council house facelift and mottled blue thighs?

well good for you Merlin. its important to know your place especially for people who otherwise find it hard to define themselves.
I think I said before, all the trouble starts when we forget we are apes.
In France on the left bank they are criticising Sarko for jogging too much, its a right wing activity apparently

I'm just trying to get the hang of this. Are there clubs where you do not need to have a proposer and seconder and committee approval ?
Surely these aren't clubs- they are places where thick drunk people have their money removed by cleverer people. |

Tiger Tiger review
Tiger, Tiger @ 29 Haymarket, SW1 / Mon to Sat 12pm - 3am, Fri and Sat £10 after 10pm
As Tony the Tiger would say a ‘Grrrrrrrreat’ hunting ground for huge packs of hormone hungry horny Chavettes. A multi layered cattle market / restaurant come club that holds five separate bars. These include The Oriental Cocktail bar, the geometrically themed Lounge, the art deco Blue Bar with its exclusive snogging boudoirs, and finally the Party Down Club with its ‘no extra charge’ to get in. This tends to act as a female Chav magnet and is home to The Bicardi Breezer Brigade. Checkout their distinctive markings – shockingly dyed hair pulled back into an ultra tight bun, otherwise known as a ‘Council house facelift’ prowling around on all fours in denim skirts that are too short for their mottled blue thighs, and Barbie doll pink Von Dutch tops that expose an unsightly ‘pinch more than an inch' flabby midriff, chugging away on cheap ciggies with expensive names like Mayfair and Sovereign. Known as the brilliant place to have a prize bust up with your bird! Lets Chav it Biatch!
In fact it sounds just the kind of place I'd expect Waterloo to feel "special". Is this where you met Mrs Waterloo by any chance? Does she have a "council house facelift", a "flabby midriff" and "mottled blue thighs"?
I think I'll stick to the Met Bar.

Waterloo,
ROFL, reminds me of the wails from the excluded when we used to go. 50 energy traders get the red carpet everywhere you know Biff. Funniluy enough we quite liked TT for being a little bit of Essex in the heart of the west end. Less up their ar*se old men racist ex-pat bigots thinking they are cool you know
Oh dear. My life is at an end because I once was refused entry to one of London's saddest night spots. I wish I could be like Waterloo, and have to be told what to wear, and work for someone else! Oh you lucky boy!!!

I do agree WS one can see class, same as one can see ill nourished and those that smoke!
Then again I once knew someone who went to work in his fathers factory, he had a very well spoken manner......................
His father's advice was go in the works and learn but for god sake try not to talk to them!
Just goes to show that how we speak is one of the clues to class!
I also suspect that how we dress is also a give away!
What other characteristics are there?
Meanwhile I have no objection to ID cards I do object to paying for them, why is it that I am convinced everyone else should have an ID card but can not see the reason why they want me to have one?
I know who I am anyway! |

As my father used to tell me, the lower classes dress up whereas the upper classes dress down.
class isnt about dress and can be easily seen dispite it. "quality" is another word for it. Sorry, but you dont have it Biff. Go change the backup tapes

p.s. I was sad to see on one of my now rare walks past Picadilly that the Atlantic Bar and grill has shut. Used to love it there, VERY cool and ab fab dont you know in its time in the 90's. Mrs Waterloos favourite haunt when Waterloo was an inner city geeza Good old London Electricity board and their subsidised staff flats. I was moved out when they privatised !! I still think it was a good idea. My old flat cost £50 a week and is now three hotel rooms at £200 a night !!! Thats a lot of distribution system investment |

Waterloo,
LOL, the old "your a right minger, I mean those shoes look a bit like trainers, you cant come in" bouncer line LOL Denied entry to what you correctly describe as Londons lowest rent night spot. ROFL
When you work for yourself, you tend to forget that much of the world insists people dress wearing silly stuff round their neck etc and inspecting your shoes like some kind of retarded Sargeant Major. The irony of course is that I'd never been to Tiger Tiger before since I went to much cooler places that didn't operate the kind of dress code I'd recalled from Ritzies on the Swansea Kingsway. Had I have realised this was a place where the lower classes/workers congregated, I'd would not have even contemplated a visit. As my father used to tell me, the lower classes dress up whereas the upper classes dress down.

An insight to Biffs angst perhaps? A sound beating at an early age with an ugly stick is to blame for his angst riden politics maybe?
Tell us Biff, did the midwife slap your ars*e or your mothers face when you were born? You surely remember

My main objection is that they want me to pay for an ID card to tell them I am who they think I am!
They should pay for the cards not me! |

I see that some clown has apparently made an attempt to blow up Tiger Tiger on Haymarket.
God only knows what he thought hes playing at.
Its clear that as soon as he was IDed by the bouncers he'd have been sent packing. I was once denied entry to that place because my shoes were too "trainery". So god only knows how he thought he'd stand a chance.
Yet more proof that ID cards can thwart terrorists, as well as keeping riff raff out of London's saddest night spots.

I know who I am, who I have always been and presumably will be.
The problem is that those who want me to have an ID card need to know I am who they believe me to be!
Then again it would be the only way for me to know someone is who they should be! |
