Litvinenko and the Russian Diplomats

From the BBC: The British Government has expelled four Russian diplomats from the UK following Moscow's refusal to hand over a former KGB agent accused of murdering Alexander Litvinenko. But why expel diplomats?

Waterloo:

Why are we refusing to extradite someone to Russia that they are accusing of being involved in the school massacre then complaining that they will not extradite someone to the UK ?

So you dont think the UK response to this marks it out amongst "old" europe then Biff.

Which other country has, or indeed would, stand up to Russia in this way?

I bet you have an excuse for them dont you? ...you sad excuse

Waterloo,

Look at the reality. Decency vs filth, new Europe vs old

Spoken like a true ranting madman. I have pictures of your nurse having to wipe down the monitor afterwards.

Let's boot Goel in the head and then send him to the Russians

More "nice" friends for Goel to add to his sp*astic list

What a total irrelevance he is, arent you Goel

As for the topic, typical that its the UK that makes a stand. Have you noticed how we have said, yes you can buy a company here, no you cannot murder people here.

Contrast with Germany, yes you can employ the Chancellor on your payroll, no you cannot buy EoN

Look at the reality. Decency vs filth, new Europe vs old

Furthermore, it is not smart antagonising a country that has the resources that we need, apart from the fact that Russian companies constitute an ever-growing chunk of FTSE 100 - do we really want them all to p*ss off back home and set Moscow up as an international trading centre?

Sending four diplomats home seems a rather wet and irrelevant response to the Russian refusal to extradite the suspect.

Why not agree that he be tried in Moscow ?

Interesting contrast to the enthusiadm this Govt has for extraditing innocent white collar folk who then get imprisoned for years in the States while their prosecution cases are prepared.

Good on the Russkies - good response - F orf- we should do the same to the States.
