Condor: Interesting, isn't it? I was reading your comments on the Process in the US, as shockingly, as Kay admits, many Americans don't understand their own system. Admittedly, it is complex, and as you point out, some states have a completely unique system. You mention Nebraska, which is akin to Denmark in ways. (Single Chanber).

Whatever....do you see parallels in the US vis-a-vis upsets?

Preliminary consensus indicates Boris winning. It ain't over 'til it's over though. London is the stuff of exceptions to the national trend with local elections, but at this point, Ken must be resenting his being re-embraced by Labour.

The real question is not that there was a massive vote against Labour...the real question is...if Brown 'gets it'...then he should resign. In the event, he is sending out completely conflicting messages.

Hints of Mugabe in Westminster.

In all fairness to the UK, very few nations at this time have effective and attractive leaders. There are reasons for this, and the US has engendered a debate about why. They of course, have Obama.

And I envy them! (I fully realize I'm mixing local and national politics, but in cases like these, they are inseparable)

The UK votes out of spite for their leaders (as do many nations). At least the US has the opportunity to vote for *Change*...whether that manifests in success or not remains to be seen.

At least the option to vote for it is somewhat unique.

You always bring some kiss-up words first, then do tingly tangly thing, then when others question or deny your pretty irrelevant Canadian things, you turn nasty. And so I did, then u got nasty to me.

Now, mini Stevee, if there is any existing in this world, do u see what Motty had to put up with?

Yes, filters do that, idiot. Btw...your American spelling is most revealing.

How do you account for that? Almost all first gen Japanese are taught British English, as anyone who has taught English in Japan will attest..

It is only my gist... but Boris Johnson may get a winning ticket. Because he is not sneering in photos?
